Congratulations!
You're ready to join the team!

Below you’ll find all the requirements and the step-by-step process to register for OYMT's 2025-2026 year.

Registration is open for 2025-2026!

OYMT's 2026 summer mission trip will be from June 20-28, 2026 to Central Appalachia with Appalachia Service Project (ASP). The exact location will be announced around April 2026. This will be OYMT's 14th mission trip and 13th with ASP.

First, determine your eligibility & role

OYMT’s 2026 summer mission trip is open to Orthodox Christian Youth Participants, Adult Leaders, and Young Adult Leaders. See below for the age requirements for each role.

OYMT is based in Connecticut. We accept individual members who live in the Northeast (CT, NY, MA, RI, VT, NH, and ME). Generally, if applicants inquire from beyond these states, we connect them to an existing OYMT Satellite Team closer to their area, or help them start their own Satellite Team. Individual applicants from outside the Northeast are considered on a case-by-case basis each year depending upon logistical capacity.

The 2026 summer mission trip is open to Orthodox youth ages 14-18 at the time of travel. Scroll to Step 1 to register.

Youth ages 12-13 are considered on a case-by-case basis. Email Lexi before registering.

Orthodox adults ages 25+ are encouraged to join our team as Adult Leaders. Scroll to Step 1 to register.

Orthodox adults who are ages 18-24 and at least one year removed from high school graduation may join OYMT as a Young Adult Leader. A special training schedule, volunteer fee, and responsibilities apply for this role. Scroll to Step 1 to register.

If you live outside the Northeast (excluding returning members), do not follow the steps below. Instead, reach out to Lexi via email to be connected to an existing Satellite Team, start your own Satellite Team, or apply as an individual.

Satellite Teams require a minimum of 2 adults and 4 youth.

By joining OYMT, what are you committing to?

By signing the OYMT Covenant and Attendance Policy, you are agreeing to attend all trainings, meetings, and fundraisers. Refer to the Attendance Policy to determine when you can miss an event, how to provide the required notice, and what makeup work you owe.

The cost per year is $375 per Youth Participant and $100 per Young Adult Leader. There is no cost for adults. Failure to submit required payments, or establish a payment plan or scholarship by the deadlines, will result in dismissal from OYMT with no refunds.

$375 per person (youth, adults, and young adults) goes directly to OYMT. As a result, all OYMT participants are required to fundraise to cover all other costs. Both youth and adults must participate in stock sales, parish fundraisers, and any other fundraising initiatives.

OYMT gives youth the opportunity to take on adult commitments and improve their communication skills. All participants, including youth, are required to maintain an email address and check it regularly to stay on top of trainings and deadlines. Participants and parents are also required to subscribe to MailChimp reminders.

Each participant is responsible for staying on top of all deadlines and requirements. Failure to submit all required tasks by the 3 Cutoff Dates for the year will result in dismissal from the team with no refunds.
